In Orbit Around Art and Physics - A discussion between American artist, Kysa Johnson, who depicts astronomical phenomena and a French astrophysicist, Fatoumata Kebe, who specializes in spatial debris. The participants explore the interconnection between arts & physics and how astronomy has inspired both communities. Discover and explore the way space illuminates the mind of artists and astrophysicists during our special French-American event.

Sponsored by Nancy Littlejohn Fine Art in partnership with The Office for Science and Technology and The Cultural Services of The French Embassy

Short Documentary on temporary site-specific installation “blow up 298 - landscape continuum - subatomic decay patterns / -13,000 +2000" at Grace Farms, New Canaan, CT. A 360-degree drawing on the glass that investigated the physical history of the land over 15,000 years: 12,000 years in the past (around the time that humans first entered the landscape) and 3,000 years into the future (when much of the area could be flooded by climate change). Each one of the 15 curved glass panels covered a millennia. The drawing (using white paint pens) hovered between the viewer and the environment, suggesting a ghosted image of what had been and what might be.
